Anyway, Midnight Frights came along one day and asked us to be on the show. They were very nice people, and we said yes, especially as it allowed us to visit with Richmond TV Legend Bill Bowman who we knew from the “Virginia Crreepers” movie events. Also knew some of the the Midnight Frights crew from VA Creepers. So here are Richmond’s modern era movie hosts all in one picture.
Midnight Frights was on PBS locally, and ended early 2020. It was interesting to be on a show not produced by me. They handed us a script (“A what?” says me) which we tried to stick to. We were on it a few times later, and they had figured out all they needed to tell us was we were going from “this to that” and we’d improvise. (We had done about 2500 hosting segments by that time and we could wing it.) But they were truly trying to make something good. I wish them well. Of course if they still need a movie host I know a retired one….
