So, way way back in 1987, before the Movie Morgue, we hosted three weekends of movies. That was what gave them the idea we could do this weekly. The first was “Bad Movie Weekend”, for the second, I didn’t want to do the same thing again, so we did “Sci-Fi Weekend” and the third was “Bad Movie Weekend 2”, which introduced Dr. Gruesome in the Saturday movie. You see, they offered me a weekly show, since the first two “Weekends” made $$$.
Anyhow, below are photos of the two sets used for “Sci-Fi Weekend”. The first two were the sets where Inspector 35 and Lt. Brickhouse sat to comically host the whole mess, and the second was the place where the DJ’s from XL102 sat. They were recorded separately from us, and were funny this time. We still punched the wrong button and dumped them into space “accidentally”, at the end, but they were fine.
You can see that I just stuck paper on the studio wall, and penciled in what I wanted on there. Looks like I drew some and Matt drew some. But you’ve seen cartoons by me now, so maybe you can tell. I need to get him to send me some of his cartoons…
