Adventures In Production

Jaques Talbot & Joe Mac were the original production guys for the show. They put up with a lot of goofiness. Jaques (not his real name) was the original camera guy & director. Joe (his real name) came on as camera guy and took over when Jaques left us. On our BLAB TV live episodes, Jacques was the actual director when we really had like a crew and camera people & so on. You know, like television is supposed to be. He was great at capturing the madness. Joe was a good friend of Matt’s.

Set wise, the window that was seen on every set was exactly the same. I drew it on the wall in chalk originally and then painted it. When the show stopped the first time, I traced it on paper and took it along. On all four sets I used the same window drawing as the original. It was the same bookcase as well. Still have it. It’s in my garage.

The skull with sunglasses was always on set, though usually on the table. There were two different skulls, one of which is sitting here in front of me. My wife has a thing about skulls looking at her, so it normally sits on a bookcase looking away, with a little Godzilla figure.

We really had a stuffed Skeeter doll, but there was no arrow stuck in it. There should have been….
